Teaching assistants are faced with more and more challenging behaviour and issues from students. Some are put at risk due to violent outbursts and aggressive behaviour. Their pay does not reflect the diverse skills now required to nurture, coach, encourage, counsel, support, guide and educate children and young adults with increasingly complex needs.
