The Government should recognise the benefits that the use of psychedelics such as LSD and psilocybin mushroom can have for individuals and society. The harmful effects these substances induce can be worsened by the measures taken to stop them.

The potential benefits of the psychedelic substances LSD and psilocybin should be considered by the Government, for both recreational use and medically for treatment of conditions such as depression, PTSD and addiction. Legalisation is the only step forward in reducing the harm of these substances. Fake LSD and psilocybin can only be eradicated by legalisation and harmful 'bad trips' can only be reduced through education. Education and legalisation are the only means to make the practice safe.
