Stop the police using horses in crowd control

The recent BLACK LIVES MATTER protests saw police officers mounted on horse back charging at protestors. I am requesting the government stop using animals in these situations for the safety of horses and the public

A horse became distressed when a missile was thrown at the mounted police, this led the the horse bolting dislodging it’s rider, putting its own life in danger, the life of the mounted officer and that of the protestors. The pandemonium would have had a negative effect on the other horses used in this protest. Animal feel fear and pain like all humans but with a lesser understanding of what is going on around them and they are being deprived of their natural instinct of fight or flight. This is a barbaric practice and should be banned with immediate effect.
