In the fashion industry, many internships are completely unpaid or with only a small amount of expenses covered. With students working normal hours (9-5) or even longer during certain periods it is unlikely students can manage a paid job alongside. Not only does this create an unfair class bias system within the industry and can force and encourage the exploitation of students within a working environment.
