Allow people who have qualified for a full state pension to stop paying NI

With longer working lives, many people have fully paid their National Insurance contributions to qualify for the full state pension. But these people on PAYE are still paying NI contributions. Please change the law so that they can stop paying NI and put this money into their own personal pensions.

Employees on PAYE in their 60s and 70s are paying into the NI fund each month but will not see be benefit of those monthly contributions in later years as they are already fully paid up, having made contributions for over 30 years.

By allowing them to stop paying montly PAYE they could instead pay this money onto their own personal pension pot which would take financial strain off the state as these people would then be able to fund their retirement more effectively.
