The COVID situation has created mass unemployment, and measures are needed to ensure that job opportunities remain for UK residents.

Extending the requirement to carry out resident labour market tests will prioritise the interests of permanent UK residents, and ensure that locals are given preference over non-UK residents in all kind of jobs, and increasing salary thresholds will discourage employers from hiring cheap overseas workers over local residents.
