To enable urgent climate change actions and improve transparency in politics, we call for a complete ban on political parties from receiving donations from individuals or companies with vested interests in oil, gas and coal.

These groups have a lot of influence in our politics, where money and powerful lobbying interests can have more sway in formulating party policies than the voter who is supposed to be represented. As such I feel we no longer live in a genuinely representative democracy. Climate change actions are urgently needed but corporate and individual fossil fuel interests have held back needed change. Therefore we demand that all Parties be banned from receiving donations from such interests.
