Aid is needed to provide sanitation, shelter and to prevent the spread of Covid19, and the UK can also help resettle refugees who have been affected by this catastrophe.

The Greek government has declared a state of emergency; it cannot support the vast numbers of displaced people seeking asylum. Moria camp over 12,000 refugees, four times its stated capacity. Many refugees who had been located there now have no shelter or access to basic sanitation, and there is also a pressing risk of Covid-19 after 35 confirmed cases on the morning of 09/09/20.

The UK government must provide financial aid and asylum to any it can.
