Compensate owners of large holiday lets for loss of income due to 'rule of 6'

On September 9th 2020 the government announced new rules concerning social gatherings. This rule means that people owning holiday lets booked for more than 6 are required to cancel bookings. We want fair recompense based on provable losses.

The retail, hospitality and leisure grant was not based on actual losses or expenses but was a blanket grant. If you had a 1 bedroom let as a second income you got the same amount as a 6 bedroom let which provided a families only source of income. Smaller rentals are now free to continue accepting guests, larger properties are forced to close. I ask the government for fair compensation for this small section of the hospitality sector which is set to take the biggest hit from the new 'rule of 6'.
