Introducing a more direct democracy based on Switzerland’s framework – where many decisions are automatically put to a referendum and citizens can propose constitutional changes or ask for referendums on other matters – would give the power to the people instead of the government.

We believe recent events, including the Government’s response to the Covid-19 outbreak, has demonstrated that the people should be given a choice and a say on what is best for us.
