We believe that programs such as health start vouchers and free school meals must be extended and safeguarded to reach all those that are eligible. We also believe that local government must adopt policies that ensure work is a pathway out of poverty and helps increase access to healthy, affordable food through local enterprise. The government needs to do more to find long-term solutions to food poverty so that families in need have a reliable income so that they can afford healthy food.
