I am the single parent of a 35 year who is non verbal and has a mental age of a 3 year old. During the national lockdown that the government imposed on the 23rd March 20 all day, respite and therapy services closed. This left thousands families like my own with nothing. We were left to cope with the situation when our children, and I will refer to them as children even though they are over 18 did not and could not understand what was happening. I feel that the government has completely ignored families like mine. With the likelihood of another lockdown we will again be left to cope on our own once again.
