Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic all inspections of schools other than those that arise from safeguarding concerns should be cancelled until schools have a chance to recover.

Schools need to have an opportunity to recover from the pandemic. Inspections carried out during the pandemic will not present an accurate picture of the school as schools need to react to constant changes and are unable to be sufficiently strategic at the moment. Additional pressure of inspection preparation will detract from schools’ job of educating students and ensuring Covid safe provision.
