Review the Armed Forces medical policy on later-life conditions

The bar on entry to applicants with conditions which should not affect them until later in life should be reviewed by the Armed Forces. These conditions, such as macular degenerations, typically don’t affect the applicant until later life, once the applicant is past the retirement age.

I have been rejected from joining the Army due to having a macular degeneration known as X-Linked Juvenile retinoschisis. This eye condition remains stable throughout adulthood until the patient’s in their 50s or 60s, so I feel this is an unfair reason to be rejected as the condition shouldn't affect until me after retirement.
