Set up national procurement of veterinary medicines to help small vet practices

Small and rural veterinary practices pay hugely more for their medicines from their suppliers than the price I can pay as an individual buying from online pharmacies. I can't afford to buy long term medicines from my vet. Small vet practices are losing out to online pharmacies.

If people are forced to buy medicines online, the money is not going into our local rural vet services. So the vet may not be there for us when we need them. It makes no sense for vets to have to buy medicines at such high prices when these same drugs can be bought cheaply online. We want our money to go to a local vet, not an online pharmacy, but we can't afford to do it. Government should procure and supply these medicines to vets so they can sell them to pet owners more cheaply.
