The Animal Welfare Act must be extended to protect all animals, including invertebrates, from unnecessary confinement, suffering, and death. There are many examples where the current legislation falls short including animals used, abused, and killed in the name of entertainment, and sport.

In 2020, the Wild Animals in Circuses Act 2019 came in to force in England. A step forward. However, animals are still subject to suffering, injury, and death for entertainment, and sport. Examples include TV shows such as I'm A Celeb, or Ed Stafford: Last Man Out which feature animal suffering, and violent deaths.
