Introduce statutory regulation of all providers of distance learning

I want the Government to establish a regulatory body & regulations that apply to all providers of distance learning. Providers should be required to register, follow educational standards set by the regulator & pay fees.

Too many private distance learning providers do not meet acceptable standards, which is a particular issue for vulnerable students seeking distance learning services. There is no regulatory body, nor any regulations on distance learning providers. A regulatory body is needed.

Individuals and organisations that refuse to abide by set educational standards should face financial sanctions be prohibited from working work in the educational sector, and organisations not meeting these standards should also be ineligible for charitable status.
