Ban phone companies in the UK from charging any roaming charges

Now that the UK has left the EU and can dictate its own laws, the UK customer should remain protected from unfair and excessive charges by phone companies. An overall ban on roaming charges as opposed to the current UK regulation should be put in place.

In 2016 all member states of the EU voted to abolish roaming charges to ensure that customers do not get charged excessively and unfairly.

Now that the UK is sovereign, it should continue to protect the UK public from these costs.

The current laws do not forbid phone companies from reintroducing these charges and only limit the amount to £45 per day without notification with no subsequent upper limit.

Will the government see sense in this and pass a new law accordingly?!
