Following advice by the JCVI and Chief Medical Officers the NHS is increasing the interval between the first and second doses of Covid-19 vaccines, and in exceptional circumstances being permitted to substitute one vaccine for the other for second doses.

There is insufficient clinical data to justify this approach, and the Government should ban any vaccine from being administered in a manner that has not been fully tested in clinical trials. This would prevent second doses being delayed or one vaccine substituted for another.
