Hospitality is the 4th biggest employer in the U.K. generating billions of revenue in to the economy both directly and indirectly. Whilst trade bodies exist and are invaluable in what they do, none are governmental bodies that target this massive part of the economy. The creation of this agency would provide consistent development of the industry, coordination with licensing, culture, tourism bodies to enable best practice and support, alongside targeted support, training and policy development.
