Provide a grant for newly self-employed as they have done in Northern Ireland.

NSESS provides support to newly self-employed individuals who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. As it stands at the moment this scheme is only available for residents of Northern Ireland. There are many other UK residents like myself, who this year have been neglected and it's unacceptable.

I'm 23 years old and I moved out of home in February before the pandemic started, I am in massive amounts of debt because I chose to stay home to help prevent the spread of infection and I know I am not alone in this. More needs to be done to help those workers who were not eligible for last year's grants. I went self-employed just before the tax year, that the data used to calculate what people were eligible for was taken from and it needs to be re-evaluated to help those in need.
