Ensure counsellors and psychotherapists are added to the list of critical worker

Mental health risks are rising, yet those we rely on for that service have been omitted from the critical workers list. Please add fully qualified counsellors and psychotherapists to the list under the Health & Social Care category, to help us fully support our clients.

We work with the public at their most vulnerable and there is a clear decline in mental health. We are still trying to work with our clients, yet we’re not specifically included in the list of critical workers, despite being an essential support to our clients. The inability to send our children into school as critical worker children means that we don’t have privacy for our sessions and we’re unable to meet work and home schooling demands, resulting in us withdrawing from our clients when they need us the most.
