Change guidance to allow recreation aviation both alone and with members of your household/bubble by owners of aircraft as a form of exercise. Currently, angling is permitted on this basis and recreational aviation has similar health benefits and similar levels of risk of viral transmission.

The DfT currently prohibits recreational flying during the lockdown. However, the government has allowed angling to continue as a form of exercise. The activity of recreational flying exercises both the body and mind. Owners of aircraft can conduct a flight without having any contacts with others much the same as anglers can fish. Both activities should be treated in the same way.
