The NHS is buckling under the weight of Covid-19 combined with winter pressures. PPE, ventilators and other equipment are needed but staffing, or a shortage thereof, is the biggest safety risk at present. Use the revenue raised by fining people for breaking lockdown restrictions to fund local NHS acute trusts.
