As carers we are all out doing essential jobs during this pandemic, but if we fall ill with Covid through doing so there is little to no support, £80 per week in Statutory Sick Pay doesn’t cut it. We are taking risks daily to provide care, yet when we become ill there’s little or no financial help for us.

The Government should fund increased sick pay for community carers so that they do not have to subsists on Statutory Sick Pay if they fall ill during the outbreak.
