Scrapping of the excise duty on the EU CDA recipe, when imported into the UK.

We want the removal of the £28.57/litre excise duty that has been applied to the EU CDA recipe when imported into the UK, following Brexit. The EU CDA recipe has been used for years as bioethanol fuel for fires in the UK, and we do not want to be forced to use the UK recipe for CDA.

Following Brexit, the UK has imposed a £28.75/litre excise duty charge on the EU CDA recipe. The bioethanol fireplace industry has developed around the EU CDA recipe and the scrapping of its import into the UK excise duty free, has disconnected the UK from the 20+ European countries that use the EU CDA recipe. We believe that the potential 100,000+ bioethanol fire users in the UK, should not be forced to use the UK CDA recipe.
