Waive all customs fees and VAT on rescue dogs coming into the UK from abroad

Currently Customs and VAT are charged by HMRC to bring a rescue dog into the UK from abroad. This immoral charge for rescue dogs entering the UK needs to be waived.

Rescue dogs are not sold in the UK. As there is no profit being made on them, charities and dog rescues should not have to pay a customs VAT charge. HMRC is profiting off rescue dogs, and dog rescue organisations and charities should not have to pay this fee on rescue dogs. Dogs are rescued and rehomed without being sold, there is no profit being made on them, and therefore there should be no fees. Rescues and charities are financially stretched enough already.
