Introduce statutory regulation of rent increases for commercial properties

We want the Government to require that changes to rents for commercial properties are in line with external economic factors, and not set by landlords. Some businesses are having to close because they cannot afford rent increases imposed by landlords.

Businesses have no protection against landlords who increase rents, and often increases are out of all proportion with external economic factors.

This should change, with landlords required to keep changes in rent in line with external economic factors, and rights of appeal for tenants.
