HGV drivers are required, by law, to take 45 minutes break after 4.5 hours driving and require parking in order to do this. They are also required, by law, to take minimum daily rest periods of at least 9 or 11 hours. Enforcement of the new restrictions from Kent Council and the Department for Transport is making this impossible.
