Stage 3 of the Government's lockdown lifting plan starts no earlier than May 17th. On an equality basis, I would like the Government to allow all religious people to celebrate religious festivals and holy days, including Eid al-Fitr.

The Government made a decision to allow people to celebrate Christmas day in Tier 3 and below, during the peak of the winter outbreak and during a very strict lockdown. I hope, from an equality viewpoint, that all up to 3 families from faith communities will be allowed to meet up on holy days and festivals, and for congregations to be allowed.
