Parking spaces need to be wider. People are tired of paying a lot of money for parking, only to have their cars scratched or not be able to open the car doors because the car spaces are too narrow.

The Government need to set a requirement in the National Planning Policy Framework that any new car parking spaces should accommodate a large family car safely, so that doors can be opened and damage avoided.
