Consider to reintroduce maintenance grants for students going to university

The government to consider reintroducing maintenance grants which were abolished in 2016. Due to COVID-19, many families are facing new challenges & financial difficulties which affect many students either at or going to university. The grant would give those the chance to experience university life

The government needs to help students as many are struggling with accommodation costs. The grant would assist students with rent costs as they pay between £4,000-£8,000 in advance which adds to their debts. The Maintenance Grant is designed to help with living costs such as rent, food and travel. Unlike the Maintenance Loan, you do not have to pay back the money you receive
