The Government needs to fund plans to dual this road connecting ports Great Yarmouth-Lowestoft -dual carriageway directly to Britains main highway, supporting local industry and tourism - and importantly save lives on a stretch of road so notorious as an accident blackspot over many years.

Although the dualling of the A47 has long been a priority for Norfolk County Council and the new Anglia local enterprise partnership and chambers of commerce in both Norfolk and Suffolk, it has still not appeared in the Government's priority highway schemes from 2025 onward - even though Government publicly recognise Yarmouth's pressing need for 21s Century infrastructure and is funding the new bridge projects in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft currently under construction.
