Phenomenal progress has been made with vaccine development but research needs to focus on supporting the physical, neurological and psychological impacts of long COVID. Additionally for people such as frontline healthcare workers who contracted COVID as part of their work financial support should be made available to allow them to work flexibly without risk to their financial stability.
