Mental Health is common and spoken about now, the current procedures and organizations are limited and waiting times are extensive. People are becoming more reliant on the NHS and presenting in A&E or being brought in by the Police under a Section 136. The waiting times in A&E are long and the staff are inundated with mental health issues. I believe a unit dedicated to this with correctly trained staff will not only help other departments but will help people who are in desperate need of help.
