Stop displaying age of vehicles on number plates

The Government should end the practice of using number plates to reference the vehicle’s age. It is not necessary and has very little to benefit to anyone other than the car manufacturers who can use it as a key reason to sell new cars.

This can contribute to cars depreciating more quickly and be degrading for people who cannot afford to purchase a newer car.

Selling new cars should be down to the manufacturer producing new models, not exploiting a new number every six months.
