Instead of making holiday makers fork out for PCR tests to allow the travel industry to open. Allow the lateral flow tests to be used as they are much cheaper and results in 30 minutes. Can be taken at the airport / terminal.

Consider allowing the use of lateral flow tests to enable travel abroad. PCR tests are very costly and as the travel industry is already on its knees, it’ll be a better and cheaper option to allow the travel corridors to reopen.
If lateral flow tests are being used to allow schools, colleges, universities and other work places to reopen safely then surely they should be sufficient for the travel industry too?
If a lateral flow test shows positive, then have a PCR as current government guidance
