Ban the sale of animals on social media sites, including “Free to good home”

An outright ban on the sale of all animals on social media sites, Facebook, Instagram, etc. This should also include “free to good home” posts. Third party reseller sites, such as pre-loved.co.uk should also face much tighter legislation.

The rise in animal thefts since lockdown is a massive issue. Unfortunately, a lot of these animals are stolen for breeding purposes and nothing else. Some sites offer no checks on the rehoming of animals and they aren’t always bought with the best intentions. This can include animals that are used in dog baiting.
