Football clubs are more than just businesses, especially in this country. Once you have chosen or be given a club to support that is your club till death. And the only protection we have against being exploited is the hope that the people that purchase the club you support aren't parasites and put the club first.
The current governance don't have the power or conviction to be able to take on the largest clubs and the balance of power has been shifted from supporters.
