We all know the dangers of second hand smoke. The surge in uptake of vaping has presented a new ‘fashion’ of bellowing vape smoke into the wind. Non smokers, and a lot of actual smokers, find both of these behaviours unwanted whilst enjoying a drink or eating.

The law should be updated to make it illegal to smoke and/or vape on a premise which serves food and/or drink. The specific change should focus on outdoor seating areas where patrons sitting nearby are affected by harmful chemicals or unwanted vape smells.
An update to licensing laws would make the the dining or drinking experience more relaxing, enjoyable and more likely profitable.
