To fund an official helpline which helps people in abusive relationships

I would like the Government to provide an easy access number, similar to 111 or 999, which is specifically related to abuse. It should have professional counsellors able to make decisions which positively impact the people who call for help.

This is a systemic issue which impacts health care, social wellbeing and crime. The earlier you can catch the symptoms of abuse, the earlier you can stop homicide and child abuse. To be cynical, reducing the social cost of abuse not treated.

By providing a helpline funded by the Gov and with immediate referral to medical, social and psychological therapies, we can help stop the trauma of many people and identify issues much earlier on than they are currently..
