As a transgender person, binary or non-binary, going to public restrooms can be a struggle. As a non-binary person myself I find it very socially awkward. Going to your birth-assigned gender’s toilet when no longer identifying as such is very hard for the LGBT community and feels very downgrading. I also hope in introducing gender neutral toilets it could normalise the trans community as at times we can feel very rejected by society. I hope this petition could change the public view on our minority.
