Each section of the emergency services is met daily with different levels of traumatic experiences. Police routinely are attacked both physically and verbally, attend deaths of all nature, sexual assaults both adult and child. Serving personnel deal with traumatic experience over an operational period, whereas emergency services can spend an entire career dealing with traumatic experiences. There is not enough support services readily available to support the emergency services.
