Parents who do not share a last name with their child can be disadvantaged when traveling alone with their children, because they are often asked additional questions and documents to prove their relationship. This does not happen to parents who have the same surname.

We ask the Government to help create a fairer and more equal society, where parents who do not have the same surname as their child, especially mothers who have kept their own name, are not disadvantaged when traveling.

We need the Government to add into children’s passports their parents’ names.

These could be printed on the pages within it and in the chip contained in the child’ Passport.

This happens in many other Countries already, and avoids confusion and inequalities.
