From the start of the 2021/22 academic year, the Government should significantly reduce the maximum allowable fees for university courses that do not offer full face-to-face tuition.

Despite the Government announcement that all remaining university students would return to in-person teaching from 17 May, a number of universities have already announced that they will not be re-introducing full face-to-face lectures and tutorials for the 2021/22 academic year. The Government should ensure that students pay reduced fees for courses that refuse to offer full in-person teaching.
