The fire claimed the lives of 72 people, the vast majority of whom were from BAME communities and working class backgrounds. The bereaved families, survivors and residents of North Kensington demand to know whether institutional discrimination on the basis of race, class and/or religion contributed to the events leading to the fire. The inquiry should be led by institutional-discrimination experts and examine the community's accounts and evidence on discrimination in North Kensington.
