Charge companies for improper disposal of products and fly-tipping

8 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year because of improperly disposed products and 11% of all methane in the atmosphere already comes from trash. The law fines people for improper recycling, for fly-tipping, etc, but does not fine companies.

In USA, companies were being sued by a California environmental group for ‘creating a plastic pollution ‘nuisance’ and misleading consumers about the recyclability of plastic.

It is time the UK to lead the charge against improperly disposed products by ALSO charging companies for their improperly disposed products
