Following the military coup in Myanmar, Myanmar nationals abroad including students have been actively voicing their rejection and condemnation of the actions by the junta. If forced to return to Myanmar, they may face persecution by the military regime. Thus, the UK government should prioritise providing protection visas instead of being forced to make repeated extension requests which create additional stress, anxiety and uncertainty for their future.
