Fund more frequent baby scans for pregnant women

The UK has some of the lowest scan rates in Europe, More scans need to be done during all pregnancies to increase the change of abnormalities being caught early. There were around 2000 stillborn babies in 2020, which accounts for around 4 in 1000 pregnancies.

I had an uncomplicated natural birth for my first child and as such was considered low risk for my second. I fell pregnant with my second in early February 2020, at first scan was on the everything was perfect. My next scan was in May and then my third at 34 weeks in September. Only 3 scans in total over 9 months. As it happened I had gone back to Poland and paid for a scan to be done while I was there and found my son had what appeared to be Hydrocephalus.
