UK citizens must not be extradited abroad for criminal or administrative offences. Instead the Government should provide for UK courts to try cases of alleged offences abroad, according to UK law.

I think UK citizens should only be tried by a UK court. A foreign court system can be used to put pressure on British citizens as well as being used for other improper purposes. I believe only a UK court can be totally impartial in the trial of a British citizen.
